Stochastic Resonance Assisted Successive Interference Cancellation Receiver for Signal Detection Performance Improvement

In the 5th-generation mobile communication system (5G), a multiuser multiplexing scheme, nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA), has been proposed to accommodate massive connectivity in wireless systems. By nonorthogonality, NOMA allows use of new domain that is ineffectively utilized conventional orthogonal (OMA) schemes. power-domain (PD-NOMA), user signals are allocated different power levels and multiplexed by superposition coding at transmitter. employs interference cancellation schemes such as successive (SIC) receivers avoid between signals. The nonlinear systems low-resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) favorable terms energy consumption since load SIC processes increases proportionally number users. However, on other hand, leads degradation signal detection performance. Stochastic resonance (SR) phenomenon improves response weak this paper, we propose application SR SIC. Through computer simulations, show method can improve performance without losing advantage low consumption.
